Michelle Mugo |  Design Communication Student 

I am a second-year Design Communication student with an interest in how design communicates ideas, emotions, and stories. Through my academic projects, I have been exploring visual storytelling, typography, composition, and colour while developing my creative thinking and design skills.

Alongside my studies, I founded ELMUGO, an independent creative apparel brand that allowed me to explore the relationship between branding, design, and entrepreneurship. I developed its visual identity, created a collection inspired by the African savannah, and worked on its digital presence and marketing. This experience helped me understand how design can bring a brand's story to life, from the initial concept to its presentation across different platforms.

I am continuing to explore how design, branding, and storytelling can come together in my work. Guided by my Christian faith and values of courage, integrity, and reliability, I aim to approach each project with intention, take creative risks, and keep growing both personally and professionally.
