Heritage Context Visual Storytelling

This project explores how context influences perception of cultural value through a sequential visual narrative combining photography and graphic design.

Focusing on everyday East African food culture, I constructed a three-part narrative showing how the same subject shifts meaning across different environments: street, home, and restaurant.

Through composition, sequencing, and visual layering, I created a narrative that challenges assumptions about value, class, and cultural perception.

The final outcome is a multi-panel visual story that uses photographic storytelling and graphic intervention to communicate conceptual meaning.
