Sunway Originals Sports Merchandise

This project develops a cohesive sports merchandise system for Sunway Originals, designed to unify student identity across multiple sports disciplines.

I explored movement and athletic motion as the core design driver, using simplified ball trajectories and curved motion lines to create a consistent visual language across different sports.

Following user research and client feedback, I refined the designs into a unified system applied across multiple sports categories, ensuring visual consistency while maintaining individual sport identity.

The final outcome is a sports merchandise collection that communicates energy, movement, and institutional identity through minimal and structured visual design.

From the initial research, I chose the highest-rated ball sports in Sunway Universty

After client feedback, we decided to make the series into ball sports to form a more cohesive set.

For the concept, I used the players' arc movements to form the designs.

Initial sketches trying to show the movement of the ball in relation to the net

After feedback, I decided to simplify the sketches further into focusing on the ball used during the sport.

For squash and table tennis, the balls themselves are not unique, hence i included the paddle.

Finalised sketches with arc-like curves to form the balls, paddles and shuttlecock to represent the sports.
