Sunway African Culture Association Tshirts

This project presents the development of a merchandise T-shirt design created for the Sunway African Culture Association, inspired by themes of African identity, unity, and cultural expression.

The design explores the integration of bold typography, symbolic imagery, and flowing graphic patterns to create a visually engaging and contemporary apparel concept. Drawing from the philosophy of “Ubuntu – I am because we are,” the project focuses on communicating community, movement, and shared identity through wearable design.

Across the front and back compositions, I applied principles of hierarchy, balance, color contrast, and branding to develop a cohesive visual system suited for both fashion and organizational representation.

The outcome reflects my ability to translate conceptual themes into functional merchandise design while balancing cultural storytelling with modern visual communication.
